 Abstract:  This collection consists primarily of letters that Homer J. Henney wrote to his family in Horton, Kansas while he was serving with the 137th Infantry during World War I. Also included are newspaper clippings, orders, financial records, and other materials documenting Henney's military service; a copy of Die Sagan: Das Leben der Herzogin Wilhelmine von Sagan Prinzessin von Kurland that Henney found in the bunker where Hitler committed suicide and correspondence regarding this book; and testimony regarding a 1924 automobile accident that Henney was involved in.
