Bookmark this page or copy and paste URL to Email message William Austin and Annie Jaggard Nunn Papers, SHM PC-6 circa 1883 - circa 1983SHM PC-6![]() Biographical NoteBorn February 4, 1883, in Runnels County, Texas, William Austin Nunn moved to Arizona in 1915, and worked as a ranch hand in Perkinsville. On July 18, 1928, while in Williams, Arizona, he married Annie Jaggard. Annie, who was born December 24, 1888, in Jaggard, Kansas, was a graduate of Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas. Annie moved to Williams, Arizona in 1922, and taught school at Williams High prior to her wedding. The couple owned and operated the 7V Ranch in Lonesome Valley until it was sold in 1951, then settled in Chino Valley, Arizona. William passed away on October 23, 1965, and in 1978, Annie moved to Samaritan Village in Prescott, Arizona. She passed away on October 13, 1983. Annie was a member of the Yavapai Cowbelles and the couple were members of the Yavapai Cattle Growers Association. Scope and ContentThe William Austin and Annie Jaggard Nunn Papers contains three series of records. Series one encompasses 57 miscellaneous ranch photos (topically arranged in three files); Series two contains several anecdotes as well as official documents including pasture allotments, six business ledgers and a teacher’s contract dated May 2, 1925, along with assorted Yavapai Cowbelles correspondence. Series three includes three oversized diplomas belonging to Annie Jaggard Nunn. Additionally, there is a separate oral history for Anne Nunn, tape 55.
