This collection contains books, pamphlets, and folders,
1958-1986, of Robert Moser, a real estate appraiser from Arizona. Books and
pamphlets contain botanical, meteorological and legal information relevant to
ranching in the Southwest. Folders contain appraisal reports. Additional materials
include books and color slides, from Barton Wright, an author who wrote about
historical agriculture and archeology in the Southwest. Books are a series on
American agricultural history and Wright's master thesis on archeology in Catclaw
Cave, Arizona. Color slides are of various locations, plants and structures in
Arizona.

Biographical Note
John Robert Moser was an alumnus of the University of Arizona and a real estate
appraiser who conducted appraisal reports for various properties, including
historical sites, throughout the Southwest from the 1960s to the 1980s. His friend,
Barton Wright, was an academic and fellow alumnus who was involved in recording and
preserving information about traditional Puebloan beliefs regarding the Kachina.
Wright also wrote about Pre-Columbian archeology and agriculture in Arizona.
Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of material of Robert Moser, an University of Arizona
alumnus who worked as a real estate appraiser within the second half of the 20th
century. The first box contains folders of appraisal reports and related documents
of various properties in Arizona ranging from trailers to historical sites. The
second box contains published material authored by Barton Wright, along with color
slides of plants, landscapes and structures. Wright was a close friend of Moser and
fellow alumnus who wrote books on archeology and agricultural history in Arizona.
Both Moser and Wright's portions of the collection contain some work relevant to
Native American history and affairs in Arizona.
