Scope and Content

This collection consists of personal papers, correspondence, manuscripts, and photographs collected by Miner R. Tillotson during his work at Grand Canyon National Park and with the National Park Service from 1939 to 1955. Of special note to researchers are the numerous manuscripts on Grand Canyon National Park and Park Service history prepared by Tillotson and other authors as well as a draft manuscript by Tillotson later published as “Grand Canyon Country.” Photographs show Tillotson, park rangers, airplanes and visitors at Grand Canyon Airport, social gatherings, and award presentations.
