The ISASI collection consists mainly of aviation accident reports and air safety publications.

Scope and Content

This collection contains ISASI publications, as well as aviation accident reports and air safety publications which were collected by the International Society of Air Safety Investigators. ISASI publications include proceedings of the Society's annual conferences and the quarterly ISASI Forum. The collection includes an extensive collection of aviation accident reports from the United States and other countries including Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere. Also included are the World Accident Airline Summary covering the 1940s-1990s, Airclaims Limited bulletins, NASA and NACA reports (including the Aviation Safety Reporting System), investigation manuals, and publications and reports from other aviation safety organizations.

In addition, back issues of the ISASI Forum, as well as proceedings and seminar papers, were received from former editor Ira Rimson in 2010. Accession number 2010.005.

Accruals

Since 2014, the Archives receives new issues of the ISASI Forum on an ongoing basis.
