John Zimmerman and Leslie King are pilots who flew for United Airlines. Zimmerman retired as a Boeing 767 captain, and King was a Boeing 747 captain.
The collection contains training and informational materials collected by Zimmerman and King during their airline careers. Included are United Airlines training material; cockpit/crew resource management (CRM) manuals and articles, including United's Command/Leadership/Resource (C/L/R) Management training; security-related materials (issue of Airport Magazine on first anniversary of September 11 attacks, as well as papers from a 1997 conference on disruptive airline passengers); air traffic control and traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS) reports; three Eastern Air Lines items (high altitude operations and 1981 fleet reliability report); and miscellaneous other safety reports and documents.
