Biographical Note

John R. (Jack) Hartmann worked as a federal sky marshal during the 1970s. He also was an airline pilot for TWA and later taught at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Campus for five years.


Scope and Content

This collection contains an oral history with Jack Hartmann, as well as supplementary material about aviation security (ca. 2000-2005) provided by Hartmann. In the oral history Hartmann discusses airline security and his experiences as a sky marshal during the 1970s.
