Four oral histories conducted by James Kehl. The narrators were Whiston Webb, Jesus Sanchez, Zola Purtymun Hernandez, and Della Purtymun Greenwell. The narrators discuss life growing up in Northern Arizona, logging camps, the Grand Canyon etc.

Whiston Webb was born in 1920 in Oklahoma and eventually moved to Glendale, Arizona where he grew up. He worked at a forest camp at age 16 and shares stories about life in a loggin camp. Camps were focused around agriculture, erosion control, forestry, etc. | |||||||||||

Jesus Sanchez was born at the Gibson Logging Camp in the Peaks Ranger District, Coconino National Forest in 1934. He describes the house and living conditions. Sanchez also talks about the ethnicity of the camps, population, and his schooling. | |||||||||||

Della Purtymun Greenwell was born in a log cabin in Indian Gardens in 1907, 5 miles from Sedona. She recalls father's mining camp, her school house and what school was like. Greenwell also talks about her family and childhood. Side 2 is blank. | |||||||||||
