Abstract:Holograph manuscript, on parchment, of "Articles of Agreement" drawn up in London, August 25, 1869, by which Charles D. Poston, as attorney for the Arizona Mining Company, transferred to Roswell Sabine Ripley of London, for the price of 100,000 pounds sterling, all the real and movable property and mineral rights pertaining to the Arivaca Ranch and the Heintzelman (or Cerro Colorado) Mine. Inserted is an affidavit signed by the Mayor of London and the U.S. Consul-General at London acknowledging the validity of the agreement.
