Biographical NoteJudge Isaac Parker presided as U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas from 1875 to 1895. He earned a reputation as the "hanging judge." Scope and Content NoteIncludes jury summons, lists of jurors, travel and service expense vouchers for serving warrants, abstracts of compensation to posse members and witnesses, certificates of employment on guard duty, receipts for payment of board, lodging, and travel, and an indictment for treason, United States vs. Jackson Yearton, 1865. Also includes a typescript (copy) titled "Isaac C. Parker," concerning his career as judge for this district court.
