Biographical NoteBritish author. Scope and Content NoteCollection includes five letters written by Conrad to various people; three holograph, two typed, all signed. One letter by Conrad's wife, Jesse, and four by his executor, Richard Curle, briefly discuss publication of Conrad's works. Newspaper clippings from 1915 are articles Conrad wrote about his experiences in Poland during World War I. Reprints of photographs depict Conrad, places he lived, his family, and friends, including one of Stephen Crane. Three original etchings of Conrad are by Walter Tittle. Ephemera includes exhibition notices from a 1976 lecture about him, and posters from the 1964 movie production of Lord Jim.
