The Loujon Press was started in the early 1960s by free-lance editors Jon Edgar Webb and "Gypsy" Lou Webb. The press later relocated to Tucson and Albuquerque. The Webbs designed and produced several limited edition works by Charles Bukowski and Henry Miller.

A copy of the large photograph of Miller from the front inside cover of the book is also present.
