Also included are a diary of Harold Wilson as a UN observer in India from 1949-1950 and a recollection of Lorenzo Wilson's trip from Michigan to California in 1882. Transcripts of the diaries are included. |

Alfred and Harold Wilson were brothers born in Everett, Washington on March 21, 1898 and March 1, 1900 to Lorenzo and Katie Wilson. Lorenzo embarked on many business ventures in the southwest including mining and oil production. Alfred worked a variety of jobs in the Southwest and enrolled at the University of Arizona before dying of tuberculosis in 1922. Harold enrolled at the University of Arizona in 1918, graduating in 1922 with a bachelor's degree and in 1923 with a maseter's. He worked as the editor of the Tucson Citezen and in the insurance business before joining the United States Army in 1944. He retired as a Lt. Colonel. He died December 26, 1975 in Costa Mesa, California.
This collection contains 5 diaries of brothers Alfred and Harold Wilson. The diaries cover their time living and working in the Southwest and their tenure at the University of Arizona. Also included is a diary of Harold Wilson during his time as a United Nations Observer from 1949-1950 in India and Pakistan. One diary contains a recollection of Alfred and Harold's father Lorenzo Wilson on his trip from Michigan to California in 1882. Transcripts of the diaries are included.
