	Abstract:	Courses in mechanics were conducted under the supervision of Dean G. M. Butler, College of Mines and Engineering, in contract with the United States government to provide specialized training to 200 mechanics between July and August 1918. Members of the program were known as the "Fighting Mechanics". In September 1918, the program was expanded to become the Student's Army Training Corps.

	Abstract:	James Hancock lived in Tombstone at the time of the O.K. Corral gunfight. Notes indicate his comments were written in Paradise, Arizona on March 30 and 31, probably in the 1930's. Typescript (carbon) prepared by Guy J. Giffen, California author, of marginal notes made by J. C. Hancock in his copy of Tombstone: an Illiad of the Southwest.
