 Abstract:  Personal papers including a Citation Index, news clippings, articles, pamphlets, correspondence, mostly photo stats of materials pertaining to the Mexican Revolution, 1907-1920, during the years of Dr. Francisco Vazquez-Gomez’s political activity. Some original, handwritten materials and 35 millimeter films are included. The bulk of the material consists of copies of newspaper clippings about key figures of the Mexican Revolution, compiled by Dr. Vazquez-Gomez and used in the course of writing his book “Memorias Politicas, 1909-1913”. Biographical material and correspondence of Dr. Francisco Vazquez-Gomez, and his son, Ignacio Vazquez Gomez is included. His son, Dr. Ignacio Vazquez-Gomez continued to add to the research materials through the 1970s. Bulk of the material is in Spanish.

The bulk of the material consists of her personal correspondence and memorabilia, property records, official documents and correspondence relating to the Marshall Charitable Foundation, which they founded in 1930, and documents relating to Tom's death and Louise's trial for his murder in 1931. The collection also includes a large number of photographs and negatives, including some glass-plate negatives, taken by Tom Marshall of the University of Arizona and the city of Tucson in the early years of the 20th century as well as photographs of Louise, Tom, and family and friends.

 Abstract:  The collection consists of correspondence, manuscripts, grant proposals, reports, photographs, subject files, field notes, pollen samples and data relating to desert ecology which document Paul Sear's career as a botanist, ecologist and educator. The bulk of the collection is comprised of correspondence between Sears and other researchers. Ecology was the central interest of Paul B. Sears' professional life. Understanding an ecosystem includes understanding its history. Sears used pollen analysis data of bog sediments as a tool, as a means to reconstruct past vegetation and to infer climate which is included in this collection.

 Abstract:  This collection is comprised of personal and professional photographs of Julian D. Hayden. Much of this material relates to his work as an archaeologist, including excavations of Snaketown, Ventana Cave, Pueblo Grande and other excavations. Other photos include Pima Indian ethnographic material, 19th century Arizona ruins and Spanish missions in Arizona and Mexico. Personal photographs include images of Irwin Hayden (Julian D. Hayden’s father,) Emil Haury and other contemporaries of Hayden. There are also some photographs of Julian Hayden’s jewelry work. All images are available in negative format or contact sheets.
