 Abstract:  The correspondence in this collection consists of 25 letters from John W. Meloy to his wife "Frank" (Frances) and baby "Fannie" (Frances) in 1864. It is written on stationery of the United States Military Railroads, Division of the Mississippi, Superintendents' Office Chattanooga and Atlanta Line with postmarks from Nashville and Chattanooga.

All of these descriptions were originally entered into ASC's Special Materials Index between 1996 and 2014.
