 Abstract:  This is a biography of Charles Jesse Jones, 1844-1919, a frontiersman and wild game hunter. Original typescript, except for final chapter which is in the author's handwriting. Other holograph corrections throughout by a different hand. Correspondence attesting to authenticity of handwriting is laid in.

 Abstract:  Manuscripts, correspondence, talks, and miscellaneous personal material. Bulk of collection is handwritten and typed drafts of ten of Clark's books published between 1965 and 1979. Material for A Child's Story of New Mexico contains only correspondence with the publishers and revisions. Most manuscripts represent several versions of a story. Other materials include a photograph of Clark, typescripts and an audiotape of talks and speeches, and a few letters to Clark chiefly from her publisher.

Typescripts of unpublished travel diaries, 1965-1967, concern trips to France, Greece, and Baja California. Also present are printers copies for Great Chain of Life, Forgotten Peninsula, and Grand Canyon; and notes and miscellaneous material related to Herbal.
