He served as an expert witness on key pieces of water rights legislation in the state of Arizona. He researched several prominent Arizonan politicians including Barry Goldwater, Dennis DeConcini, and Evan Mecham. He also did several research projects surrounding Wade Church, Jim Chilton, the New Mexico Bar Association, and John R. Norton III, amongst others. A large portion of his research files are dedicated to water politics of Arizona including, but not limited to ANSAC, the CAP, the Colorado River Controversy, Native American/indigenous water rights, the Santa Cruz River, the Salt River, the Gila River, and others.
