 Abstract:  This is a collection of 16 letters from Union soldier John T. Maynard to his sister Rubie Maynard in Waterloo, Seneca Co., NY during the Civil War. The original envelopes with stamps are included. He writes from Union Mills, VA, Centerville, VA, Elk Run, VA, Douglas Hospital, Washington, DC, Petersburg, VA, and James River, VA and describes his life at the front. The letters span a period of 16 months from January 1863 to August 1864. Also included is a two-part article by Betsy Towle from The Heliograph journal, describing these letters.

 Abstract:  Albert William (Bill) Bork was a second-generation native of Prescott, born in August 1906, in the Arizona Territory. After receiving his Doctor in Letters, he accepted a position in Mexico City where he later served as the Dean of Undergraduate Studies at Mexico City College. This collection consists of personal records of the Bork family as well as materials from Mr. Bork’s involvement with the Smoki People in Prescott. He was also an avid philatelic collector and his collection is included. Photographs of the Bork family and Smoki People are also included in the collection.

 Abstract:  A retired, United Methodist pastor, Stanley C. Brown and his wife, Ruth, lived in several areas in Arizona. This collection is an accumulation of his work as a researcher, author, historian, teacher, and lecturer. It also includes his collection of photographs from research trips and other sources. Most of the papers are copies of his writings whether a lecture, a presentation, a column or a book. There are many transcripts of oral histories included in the collection, mostly from the Rim country and central Arizona. The collection also includes indexes of writings, oral histories, etc.

The bulk of the collection is comprised of operational documents related to equipment and supplies for the regiment.

 Abstract:  The 4th Infantry Regiment was led by Col. John Sayles, Lt. Col. James W. Barnes, and Major Moses Austin Bryan. This muster roll is printed on both sides of one sheet, 52 x 65 cm. It lists names, ranks, when and where enlisted, whether present or absent, and reasons for absence. It covers the period from the 15th day of September 1863, when last mustered, to the 31st day of October 1863.
