 Abstract:  James Brand (J.B) Tenney, 1884-1959, was an assistant geologist for the Arizona Bureau of Mines. This collection is a Typescript of Arizona mining history, chiefly covers the period from 1849 to 1930. Edited and prepared from Mr. Tenney's original manuscript by the Special Collections Division, University of Arizona Library, 1959-1960.

 Abstract:  The major portion of the collection contains instructional bulletins, lecture notes, and printed materials that were used by the Fred Harvey Company for training couriers. These bulletins demonstrate the depth of knowledge that a courier was expected to master and convey to travelers during the tours. Most of the materials relates to northern New Mexico sites. Additional materials include maps and trip logs, expenses for one of her trips, and four black and white photographs, chiefly posed group portraits of individuals in courier dress.

 Abstract:  Guest register of visitors to Grand Canyon National Park and the home of Superintendent and Mrs. M.R. Tillotson. The 184 pages are illustrated throughout with original water color decorations of traditional Southwestern motifs, notably Hopi Kachina imagery. The original fringed leather book covers are preserved. A few newspaper clippings and letters are also present.
