It is organized into 3 subgroups with the bulk of the collection found in the committee files as well as in materials related to the January 8th, 2011 Tucson, Arizona shooting. The collection also contains correspondence, legislative files, voting records, subject files, photographs and audio visual materials. This collection is comprised of photographs taken during the extensive travels of Anna Ransier, a Baptist missionary, and her husband Hubert during the 1920’s and 1930’s. The hand-colored glass plate lantern slides were then shown to various school, club and church groups during travel lectures that Anna gave. Of special interest are photographs of various National Parks in both the United States and Canada, the Hopi Indian Reservation in Northern Arizona, Mexico and Mexico City, and “mountaineer” life in the Appalachians of Tennessee. Also included in this collection are handwritten travel notes. cassettes measure 1 linear foot and consist of 13 audio cassettes containing interviews
with ten individuals who were responsible for, or lent perspective to, natural resource
decisions that influenced the University of Arizona's campus landscape development over
a century. Envisioned by Elizabeth Davison, Founding Director of the UA Campus
Arboretum, and recorded by students from the Environmental Decision Making in Applied
Anthropology course in 2003, topics covered in the oral histories include descriptions
of how the campus landscape once appeared, how it was maintained, a campus plant walk,
and the origin of some plant types now found on campus. The collection includes edited,
revised and final, formatted transcripts of each oral history, project notes, and
