and etchings, 142 reproductions, 134 original drawings by students and associates, and
all nine Bandar Log Press books; as well as correspondence, photographs, news clippings,
and articles relating to the School of Illustration and the Bandar Log Press. In
addition to Holme, authors of the Bandar Log Press books are Charles Dryden, William
Robinson, Kirke La Shelle, and George Ade. Holme's drawings are illustrations for news
stories, including coverage of the 1897 Luetgert trial and the 1893 World Columbian
Exposition; drawings of people, theatrical performances, "life and times" scenes of the
1890s; political events and politicians, including coverage of the 1896 Democratic

This collection is comprised of photo albums, scrapbooks, loose photographs,
and printed materials documenting the life and travels of Emile Cyrus Houle.
The bulk of the material relates to his medical career as a surgeon for the
S. P. de Mexico Railroad Company and USA Medical Corps in France during WWI,
and archaeological excavations undertaken in Mexico and the American southwest.
Topics of interest include the Mexican Revolution, WWI, and medical research
and publications on a number of topics including yellow fever on the northwest

but also a few travel stereographs, cabinet cards, cartes-de-visite, and daguerreotypes,
mostly relating to the Overson family of St. Johns, Arizona, along with some of townspeople,
buildings, and special occasions. There are a few portraits of people taken by Charles Jarvis,
circa 1890 to 1910. More were taken by his daughter, Margaret Jarvis Overson, circa 1920 to 1960.
A small amount were taken by other photographers and by her adult children, especially Eva M. Overson Tanner.
The images include mostly unidentified people, family, student class groups, school athletic teams,
and a few celebrations and street scenes. Photographs also include Mormon schools, school groups,
