St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, Ariz. This collection is made up of a diary
of railway and stage journey from St. Louis, Mo. to Tucson, Ariz., April 21, 1870-May 26, 1870,
with Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet.

His father, James Stuart Douglas (1868-1949) was a mine owner and banker. His grandfather, James Douglas (1837-1918)
was a mining engineer, metallurgist, industrialist, and the person for whom the town of Douglas, Arizona was named.
