is an artificially created collection that consists of many folders containing
photographs, from various sources, of Arizona, New Mexico, and Mexico arranged by topics
including places, people, events and activities, and dating from about 1875 to the
present, but mostly after 1920. Formats include postcards, stereographs,
cartes-de-visite, cabinet cards, cyanotypes, view books, photograph albums, panoramas,

hearings. Background information, in support of claims by the Pima-Maricopa,
includes photocopies of primary source material from the Spanish, Mexican, and
American periods. The rest of the collection includes various materials
relating to Ezell's work and professional interests: diaries, record books,
correspondence with colleagues, published and unpublished reports and articles,
reviews, drawings, charts, maps of southern Arizona, microfilms, audiotapes,

on fiber paper 5 by 8 inches or smaller, these photographs are annotated with
names and places, and some are dated. The bulk of the images consist of
