established in 1997, that works in cooperation with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
to protect, restore, and sustain the historical buildings and landscapes of the Empire
Ranch. The Empire Ranch was established in 1876 and has been a working cattle ranch
since, owned by two pioneer families: The Vails (1876-1928) and the Boices (1928-1969).
The Empire Ranch was later owned by corporations before being transfered to the Bureau
of Land Management, who enforces the preservation of the historic site. In 1997, the ERF
was established to help the BLM with preservation projects while also making sure the
site is still accessible to the general public. The materials in this collection are
from the ERF and reflect their daily operations, preservation projects, research
materials, oral histories, events, and other materials. Materials remain in the original
order as provided by the Empire Ranch Foundation upon their donation to Special

A press kit is a collection of publicity materials specifically sent out to members of the media to better promote a film. Included is publicity for films categorized as comedies, independents, documentaries, some re-releases, sequels, horror, action, musicals, adaptations, children's entertainment, animated, and dramas. Most contain a list of cast and crew, biographies/profiles, interviews with actors and directors, black and white publicity photographs, synopses, production notes, and announcement stories. Some have newspaper and journal articles and reviews, screening invitations, original artwork, and film critics' handwritten notes that were added by the donor. cassettes measure 1 linear foot and consist of 13 audio cassettes containing interviews
with ten individuals who were responsible for, or lent perspective to, natural resource
decisions that influenced the University of Arizona's campus landscape development over
a century. Envisioned by Elizabeth Davison, Founding Director of the UA Campus
Arboretum, and recorded by students from the Environmental Decision Making in Applied
Anthropology course in 2003, topics covered in the oral histories include descriptions
of how the campus landscape once appeared, how it was maintained, a campus plant walk,
and the origin of some plant types now found on campus. The collection includes edited,
revised and final, formatted transcripts of each oral history, project notes, and
