	Abstract:	The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra Collection includes scrapbooks, programs, news clippings and reviews, and photographs documenting the activities of the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra (FSO) between 1950 and 2008, as well as correspondence, manuscript drafts, research materials, and oral history interview transcripts assembled by Dr. William H. Lyon, Professor of History at Northern Arizona University (NAU), for an unpublished history of FSO titled The Lark on the Mountain: Historical Memoir of the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra(circa 1982).

	Title:	Arizona Postcards Collection 1891-1990 ead

	Abstract:	This is a collection of approximately 600 postcards relating to the State of Arizona. The postcards in the collection date from 1891 through the 1990s, but most of the items are from Arizona’s Territorial period through to the early 1920s. The collection includes real photo cards, greeting cards, and panoramic cards. The postcards in this collection are a visual demonstration of how Arizona has changed since the territorial period and many of the cards show buildings, people and ways of life which no longer exist. Messages on the reverse of these postcards comment on the experiences of inhabitants and visitors. Postmarks show post offices and in some cases towns which have disappeared, and demonstrate modes of postal delivery (such as railway post) which were key to the development of transportation throughout the western United States.

From 1988 to 1994, Chanin was director of the Bloom Southwest Jewish Archive at the University of Arizona. This collection contains interviews created by Abraham Chanin dating 1974-1977 with prominent Arizona settlers, politicians, University of Arizona faculty, and members of Native American communities on 30 audio cassettes.
