 Abstract:  Photographs and Printed Material, 1896-1971 (bulk 1896-1929). The bulk of the material is comprised of photographs of Vera Hall throughout her career as Baby Hall, as part of the vaudeville act Raymond and Hall and as part of the vaudeville act Goelet and Hall. Photos of her husband and partner John William Goelet and her partner Edward Raymond are also included. The collection also contains printed material including theater programs and announcements, sheet music, newsletters, newspaper clippings and a scrapbook; documents including obituaries and a family tree; an audio tape of Jane Grey’s memories; artifacts including pins and clothes fasteners; and slides from a retrospective called a Salute to Vaudeville and of the family’s travels to Japan.

 Abstract:  Papers and Photographs, 1927-1928, 1979, 1994. This collection contains correspondence, photos, newspaper clippings, and ephemera of Kathryn Beals, including two letters to her sister from acquaintances upon Kathryn’s death in 1976. The bulk of the collection consists of correspondence with her family and ephemera she collected while touring with the Peters-Wright vaudeville dance troupe for 15 months in 1927-1928.

 Abstract:  Correspondence, research materials, published and unpublished manuscripts and articles, slides, photographs, and one audio tape, primarily from 1943 to 1957, of anthropologist George C. Barker. The collection documents Barker's anthropological research into folk drama and ritual, the social functions of language, the Pachuco language of Hispanic youths, and Yaqui Indian culture and customs. A 1964 gift to the Southwest Folklore Archives from George C. Barker, Sr. Deaccessioned from the collection in 1993 were approximately 0.2 feet of duplicates and items of a personal nature. In 1996 two 11 x 14 black-and-white photographs by Alfred A. Cohn were transferred to the L. Marguerite Collier Collection, Southwest Folklore Center Manuscripts Collection MS 611. This collection was previously titled SWF 004.
