 Abstract:  Between 1994 and 2000 in Pima County, Arizona, three successive entities – the Blue Ribbon Health Care Delivery System Commission, the Pima County Integrated Health Care System Coordinating Council, and the Pima Health Care System Commission – endeavored to develop a fully integrated Pima County public health system, maintain Kino Community Hospital as a full-service public hospital and establish a community- based governance body to provide the needed direction and support for the county's health system. This collection consists primarily of reports, memos, correspondence and some news media items which document the efforts these entities made attempting to achieve those goals.

The objectives of the organization, as delineated in its July 2011 bylaws are 1) to facilitate communication and cooperation among its members, 2) to encourage and promote the utilization and sharing of health sciences library resources, 3) to promote continuing education of its members, 4) to cooperate with organizations that have similar or allied interests, and 5) to mentor individuals interested in entering the profession.

Many of these images document Ruby McAndrews' life and career, including her work at the Indian Tuberculosis Sanitarium, pageants and plays, and Native American crafts. Among the locations depicted are Phoenix, Prescott, and Poland, Arizona.

 Abstract:  Arispe was the headquarters for the Comisaria-General, who was in charge of all military activities in Sonora and Sinaloa. These records, produced soon after Mexico's independence from Spain, pertain to the transactions between the National Treasury of Arispe and the Commissariat, which supplied the companías, or military posts, with food and other supplies.

 Abstract:  This is a collection of 16 letters from Union soldier John T. Maynard to his sister Rubie Maynard in Waterloo, Seneca Co., NY during the Civil War. The original envelopes with stamps are included. He writes from Union Mills, VA, Centerville, VA, Elk Run, VA, Douglas Hospital, Washington, DC, Petersburg, VA, and James River, VA and describes his life at the front. The letters span a period of 16 months from January 1863 to August 1864. Also included is a two-part article by Betsy Towle from The Heliograph journal, describing these letters.
